EXTERIOR
The straight body features a Stepside bed and cowl hood. Cortez Silver metallic paint is carried into the jambs and finished with a glossy clear coat. The front bumper, bumper guards, and rechromed rear bumper are complemented by custom fog lamps, custom headlights, LED taillights, and refreshed grille, trim, lenses, handles, mirrors, antenna, and tailgate chains. Stainless-steel hardware is used throughout. The replacement side and rear glass is tinted. Staggered Schott Velocity forged billet wheels are fitted with performance tires and custom redlines, with wider and taller tires at the rear.
INTERIOR
The cab was stripped and repainted silver before installation of genuine leather sport seats, matching custom door panels, plush carpeting, and retractable seatbelts. A molded fiberglass center console provides cupholders, storage, four concealed speakers, and a built-in screen. Custom fiberglass kick panels contain LED lighting and additional concealed speakers. The dashboard received a replacement instrument bezel, gauges, vents, controls, pad, tilt steering column, shift indicator, column levers, and silver deluxe steering wheel. Vintage Air controls and a modern stereo complete the interior.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT
The show-detailed engine compartment has a reconstructed, smoothed firewall contoured around the engine and gloss-silver surfaces secured with stainless-steel hardware. The rebuilt 454 V8 uses long-tube ceramic-coated headers, a polished aluminum intake, polished dual-feed carburetor with electric choke, billet distributor, and HEI ignition. Cooling is handled by a large aluminum radiator with a stainless-steel chrome shroud, polished overflow reservoir, and heat-shrink clamps. Equipment includes power steering, power brakes with a chrome master cylinder, and air conditioning with a polished compressor and neatly routed hoses. A custom battery cover and matching radiator filler panels finish the compartment.
CARGO BED
The Stepside bed has straight metal finished in gloss silver. The floor uses clear-finished oak boards separated by stainless-steel strips.
CHASSIS AND UNDERSIDE
The body was removed from the frame during restoration. Lowering springs and dropped spindles establish the stance. The front suspension was rebuilt and fitted with an upgraded sway bar and polyurethane bushings; rear shocks and bushings were replaced. The braking system was rebuilt with front discs. A custom exhaust system uses a crossover pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. The engine is fitted with a chrome oil pan and chrome high-torque starter. The Turbo 400 automatic transmission uses an external cooler.
