1956 Ford F100 Custom Pickup

This frame-off-restored F100 combines a show-quality Bright Red finish with proven road use. It was cared for by the same owner for 16 years and displays 16,510 miles. Power comes from a performance-built 351 Cleveland producing 325 horsepower, paired with a heavy-duty C6 automatic transmission. Air conditioning, power steering, power front disc brakes and independent front suspension make it a well-equipped custom driver.

EXTERIOR

The rust-free body is straight and carefully fitted, with subtle custom changes that include shaved roof rain gutters, a tilt-forward hood and relocated fuel door. Bright Red paint is smooth, deep and highly polished. A chrome grille, custom bumpers and replacement emblems, handles and mirrors provide clean detailing.

The glass, weatherstripping and seals were replaced. The lowered stance is finished with staggered polished Torque Thrust wheels, measuring 18 inches in front and 20 inches at the rear, fitted with performance tires.

INTERIOR

The uncluttered tan interior is fully upholstered, including coordinated door panels and headliner. Both leather bucket seats are power-adjustable and separated by a custom center console. Retractable shoulder belts are fitted.

Gloss-red metal trim carries the exterior color inside. The dashboard has white-faced gauges, oval Vintage Air vents and matching electronic climate controls. A custom panel below the dash houses the stereo. Additional equipment includes an overhead console, tilt steering column and color-matched steering wheel.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT

The detailed engine bay is painted glossy red and houses a performance-built 351 Cleveland. Equipment includes an aluminum intake, Edelbrock carburetor, MSD ignition, headers and Ford Racing valve covers. Air conditioning, power steering and power brakes are neatly installed. An aluminum radiator and large electric fan provide cooling.

CARGO BED

The straight metal bed is finished in the same smooth Bright Red paint as the exterior. The floor uses refinished wood separated by polished stainless-steel strips.

CHASSIS AND UNDERSIDE

An independent front clip uses adjustable coilover shocks and a large anti-roll bar. The rear is supported by parallel leaf springs and shocks. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums, with the parking-brake system connected.

The truck has a dual-exhaust system with stainless-steel mufflers and a custom stainless-steel fuel tank. The underside of the engine and heavy-duty C6 automatic transmission are painted red to match the build.
