EXTERIOR

The body is exceptionally straight with precise panel fit. Rally Sport equipment includes hideaway headlights and relocated reverse lights, with a Detroit Speed electric headlight-door conversion. The car also has a cowl-induction hood and front and rear spoilers.

Daytona Yellow paint and smooth black stripes were applied in 2010 and polished to a glass-like finish. A few hairline paint cracks have developed and are noted as part of the car's present condition. The chrome and stainless trim, glass, weatherstripping and window seals were replaced. Bright LED taillights and 17-inch polished Torque Thrust wheels with performance tires complete the exterior.

INTERIOR

The custom interior is extensively upholstered in soft black leather, including the dash pad, deluxe door panels, rear panels, rear shelf, speaker covers and console. Recaro front seats and a sculpted rear seat use matching leather with houndstooth inserts. Premium square-loop carpeting and fitted mats finish the cabin.

The dashboard retains a factory tachometer and gauges and was restored with replacement vents, knobs, heater controls, instrument panel, ashtray and lighter. Additional equipment includes a tilt column, custom steering wheel, Bluetooth audio system with six speakers and a 100-watt amplifier, replacement headliner and visors, reproduction seat belts and new wiring.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT

The GM ZZ 383 crate engine uses Fast Burn cylinder heads, a forged crankshaft and roller lifters. Its GM high-rise intake was smoothed, polished and powder-coated gloss black, and it is topped by a dual-feed Holley carburetor. The cowl-induction air cleaner was customized and powder-coated. Coated headers, cast-aluminum valve covers and premium fittings, hoses and clamps complete the engine.

A Billet Specialties True Trac front-drive system includes billet brackets and pulleys, a serpentine belt, polished compact air-conditioning compressor, polished alternator and modern power-steering hardware. The detailed engine compartment also includes power brakes.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT

The trunk lid and jamb are finished to match the body. The clean metal trunk has a spatter finish, carpet mat, upholstered taillight and side panels, and the audio-system amplifier.

CHASSIS AND UNDERSIDE

The body was removed from the frame and the suspension, steering and related components were rebuilt. The front end uses an upgraded sway bar and rack-and-pinion steering, while frame connectors tie the front and rear structures together. The rear suspension received replacement springs, bushings and shocks plus an added sway bar.

The fuel system, including the tank, was replaced. Four-wheel slotted disc brakes and a custom dual-exhaust system with a crossover and performance mufflers were installed. The Tremec T56 six-speed, McLeod clutch, heavy-duty scattershield and custom transmission support feed an aluminum driveshaft and 12-bolt rear axle with 4.11 Positraction gears and an aluminum girdle cover. The solid floors are protected with chip-resistant coating.
