EXTERIOR
The clean, straight body is represented as retaining its original metal. Hidden VIN stampings on the core support and cowl match the car. The fiberglass ram-air hood is in good condition, and the doors close properly. Front chin spoilers and a rear dovetail spoiler complete the T/A profile.
The factory Bright Red paint has a smooth, glossy finish with correct T/A striping. The vinyl top is excellent, the chrome is bright, and the stainless trim is straight. Correct staggered reproduction tires are fitted to 15-inch Rallye wheels, with G60 tires at the rear and E60 tires at the front to provide clearance for the side exhaust.
INTERIOR
The restored red interior includes replacement carpeting, embroidered mats, renewed upholstery, replacement door panels, and a very good headliner. The console carries the Pistol Grip shifter. The dash pad, instrument panel, and factory gauges are in excellent condition.
The original AM radio and a rare clock remain in place. A mini tachometer and oil-pressure gauge are mounted below the dashboard, and the car retains its original dated 1969 red seat belts.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT
The engine is a correct, properly dated 340 T/A high-performance 6-Pack unit with T/A casting identification on the block. Correct manifolds, carburetors, valve covers, and ram-air equipment are installed. Date-coded spark-plug wires, reproduction hoses and clamps, and a reproduction Mopar battery support the factory-style presentation.
Firewall components are clean and correct. Both horns, windshield washers, and the correct fan shroud remain. Both fender tags are attached: one lists the option codes, and the second identifies the Trans Am package.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT
The restored trunk is painted red on the underside of the lid, jamb, and floor. It includes a collapsible spare, Chrysler air bottle, and jack assembly, all properly installed. The weatherstrip and mat were replaced, and the trunk light works.
CHASSIS AND UNDERSIDE
The car was disassembled and mounted on a rotisserie. Rust-free floors, frame rails, and rockers were prepared and painted body color. The steering and Rallye suspension were rebuilt, and the car retains quick-ratio steering.
Braking consists of front discs and 11-inch rear drums, with renewed lines, hoses, and parking-brake cables. The factory-style side-exit dual exhaust and fuel system, including the tank, were replaced. A correct four-speed transmission sends power to a 3.55 Sure Grip rear axle.
