The Car
Description
This genuine Superbird is verified by its VIN, original fender tag, three build sheets, warranty booklet and inclusion in the Galen Govier registry. It retains its VIN-matching 440 Super Commando engine and was owned by the same person for 20 years. A rotisserie restoration was completed approximately 20 years ago, and the car has been carefully preserved since.

EXTERIOR
The Superbird's purpose-built aerodynamic equipment includes a metal nose cone with flip-up headlights, extended front fenders with top scoops, an extended hood secured by racing pins, stainless-steel windshield-pillar covers, a smaller flush-mounted rear window and the signature aluminum rear wing. The wing is adjustable and functional.
The dry, straight body is finished in Lemon Twist. The approximately 20-year-old paint continues to present well, and the vinyl top is in excellent condition. The windshield appears new, the weatherstripping was replaced, and the vent-window frames, mirrors, handles and bumper retain bright chrome. Refinished 15-inch Rallye wheels carry polished trim.
INTERIOR
The factory white interior has replacement door panels, upholstery and headrests. The dashboard is clean and unmodified, retaining its in-dash tachometer and original radio. The headliner and visors are in excellent condition, and the extended rear package shelf reflects the Superbird-specific rear-window conversion.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT
The original VIN-matching 440 Super Commando is presented in stock form with factory-style manifolds, valve covers and air cleaner. Detailed components include dated Chrysler ignition wires, the air-cleaner heat shield and tube, and correct-style hose clamps. Power steering and power brakes are fitted.
The engine bay is clean metal finished in matching Lemon Twist. The original trim tag remains in place, and the matching hidden VIN is present on the radiator support. Road Runner horns, connected windshield washers and a properly secured battery complete the factory-style presentation.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT
The solid trunk is painted Lemon Twist and contains both required jacks: a conventional bumper jack and a scissors jack used because the car has no conventional front bumper. The spare is mounted on a Rallye wheel. A matching hidden VIN is present on the quarter-panel lip.
CHASSIS AND UNDERSIDE
The car was mounted on a rotisserie and fully disassembled during restoration. The floors, frame rails and rocker panels are dry, clean and retain crisp factory seams, with the underside finished in body-color Lemon Twist.
The fuel system and tank were replaced. The original-style dual exhaust has chrome tips and added electric cutouts. Front and rear suspension systems were rebuilt, and the braking system was restored with replacement lines, a connected parking brake and front discs. The engine displays the correct casting codes, date and matching VIN stamp. The correct 727 TorqueFlite automatic and 8 3/4-inch rear axle complete the drivetrain.
