The Car
Description
1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS Coupe
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS retains its numbers-matching engine, transmission, and factory Rally Green color. The previous owner kept the car for 24 years and completed a ground-up restoration with selected performance and comfort upgrades. Its original 350-300 HP V8 now uses restored Tri-Power induction and is paired with the original VIN-matching Muncie four-speed. The odometer displays 84,107.9 miles.

EXTERIOR
The straight body is properly aligned and smooth along the lower panels. The factory Rally Green paint has evenly laid metallic and a deep, wet-looking clear coat. Correct painted hockey-stick stripes accent the finish.
Rally Sport equipment includes electrically operated hideaway headlights upgraded with Detroit Speed motors. An SS hood, front and rear spoilers, halo vinyl top, and exterior trim group add to the presentation. The trim group includes rain gutters, wheel-opening moldings, and quarter-panel louvers. The chrome and stainless trim are straight and bright, the weatherstripping was replaced, and the front and rear glass were renewed. The Camaro rides on 14-inch Rally wheels with white-letter tires.
INTERIOR
The black deluxe interior includes molded door panels and comfort-weave upholstery. The seats were recushioned and fitted with new headrests and track extenders. The restored dashboard has a new pad, bezels, vents, and knobs. Factory instrumentation includes an in-dash tachometer, working clock, and console gauges.
Vintage Air controls, a retro stereo, tilt steering column, and rosewood wheel provide modern comfort. The carpet, headliner, visors, window cranks, and mirror were renewed. A complete set of original seat belts remains.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT
The original numbers-matching 350-300 HP engine received a mild performance rebuild. It was balanced and bored 0.030-inch over, with new rings, bearings, pistons, and a Comp camshaft. The cylinder heads were rebuilt with hardened valve seats.
A restored Tri-Power induction system operates primarily on the center carburetor until the outer carburetors are engaged. Additional equipment includes MSD ignition, Vintage Air heat and air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. Windshield washers are connected, and the compartment is neatly finished.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT
The underside of the trunk lid and the jamb are painted. The trunk floor is solid metal with sound deadening, and the weatherstrip and mat were replaced.
CHASSIS AND UNDERSIDE
The front subframe was removed, and the steering and suspension were rebuilt. The rear suspension was also rebuilt and upgraded with a sway bar and air shocks. The fuel tank and sending unit were replaced.
The braking system was rebuilt with replacement lines, connected parking-brake equipment, and front discs. A reproduction chambered dual-exhaust system is installed. The original VIN-matching Muncie four-speed was disassembled and rebuilt, and the clutch was replaced. A rebuilt 12-bolt rear axle with 3.73 Positraction gearing completes the drivetrain.
